This tournament, which is for the purpose of the next generation top Bowler development of Asia, will be the third time held this year. At the inaugural championship in 2016, a total of 277 participants from nine countries and regions took part displaying a high-level of competition from the youths.

The finalists (the top 16 player) will be awarded prize money by STORM, the tournament official sponsor, and a variety of prizes, such as bowling supplies will also be awarded by supporting organizations. The whole tournament will have live cast through the JBC Fukuoka official YouTube channel and U-22 official Facebook page.
