7th July, Hong Kong, China: Tang Shing Hei of Macau ended the qualifying rounds of the U22 Hong Kong Storm Cup 2025 by topping the U22 Division standings while Dylan Lam Nok Him of Hong Kong retained top spot in the U18 Division standings.

Tang, who finished second to Daniel Tse of Hong Kong of Squad B in the first block with 1058 and was sixth overall, added 1074 in the second block to take top spot with 2132. Amen Yuen of Hong Kong, who was the overnight leader, slipped behind Tang in second with 2121.

Daniel Lee of Guam, who topped Squad C adding 1057 in the second block, finished third with 2113. Daniel Tse of Hong Kong and Lucio Marcelino Chiu of Macau rounded out the top five with 2107 and 2097 respectively. The cut in 39th position was Wong Yiu Choi of Hong Kong with 1794. Wong Chung Hang of Hong Kong missed the cut by 11 pins.

The top 39 qualified for the Semi-finals round for another 4 games with pins carried forward. The top 16 with the highest total will advance to top 16 Round 1 elimination finals. The field will be cut to the top 8 winners for Round 2 finals and top 4 winners for Round 3 semi-finals before the top 2 title match.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong youths dominated the U18 Division standings with overnight first block leader, Dylan Lam Nok Him of Hong Kong remaining unchallenged to take top qualifying position with 2063. Lee Cheuk Him finished second with 2019.

Two more Hong Kong youths, Hogar Wong Ho Ka and Yip Chun Yin took third and fourth positions with 2000 and 1996 respectively. Singapore's Ashley Zulkifli Minyi completed the top five with 1992. The cut in 21st position went to Lau Pak Yu of Hong Kong with 1821.

Another Hong Kong youth, Jaden Tsui Fei missed the cut by five pins finishing 22nd. The top 21 qualified for the Semi-finals round for another 4 games with pins carried forward. The top 16 with the highest total will advance to top 16 Round 1 elimination finals. The field will be cut to the top 8 winners for Round 2 finals and top 4 winners for Round 3 semi- finals before the top 2 title match.

Thirteen-year-old Ethan Leung Chun Yu won the U15 Division with 2080 followed by Lee Cheuk Him as first runner-up. Yip Chun Yin finished as second runner-up. Leung picked up HK$1,580 (approx. US$200) as champion, Lee HK$1,580 and Yip HK$790.
