Welcome to Qatar's second biggest bowling event of the year, this event is followed by the huge success of 2016 PBA-WBT 16th Qatar International Open Bowling Tournament and the World Singles Championships 2016 which was held in December 2016.
The tournament is an ABF Tour Ranking 2017 stop and ranking points will be awarded to the top 16 Asian men in the final standings. The Champion for last year's Emir Cup was Danielle McEwan of United States and the previous year was Tannya Roumimper of Indonesia. The format of this tournament is a singles mixed and women will have 8 pins handicap (per game) with unlimited attempts as long as there are vacancies.
