1st September, Bangkok: 31st SEA Games Vietnam Team member, Le Minh Duc led from start to finish for an easy victory in the Youth 21 & Under Masters Finals at the 46th MWA-Singha Thailand International Open late Thursday evening.

With a stunning 280 in his opening game, Le led Singapore's Jevin Oh by 56 pins followed by Keith Mark of Hong Kong in third. Despite three superb back-to-back 247, 247 and 249, the Vietnamese two-hander could not pull away.

Ethan Tan of Singapore kept close to the leader after posting 932 from his first four games but was third behind promising Thai, Putana Buspanikonkul, who moved into second at the halfway mark. Le was simply unstoppable, reeling in 246, 232, 215 and easing off with 207 to win his first international title with 1923.

Buspanikonkul trailed the leader with impressive 222, 214, 220 and 219 to claim second position with 1846, 77 pins adrift. Tan came home third with 1772. Hong Kong's Alex Yu, who did not have a good start, crawled his way back up to finish fourth with 1767 while a second Thai, Nutavat Rasisetkun rounded out the top 5 with 1758.

Mr Rattanarat Wuwatchai, TTBA Committee Member gave away the prizes to the winners. Qualifying for the Men's Grade A and B, Ladies' Graded and Senior Masters will end September 3 with their Masters Finals will all be held on September 4.

The qualifying rounds for the Men's and Ladies' Open division over three blocks of 5 games each will commence September 5 through to September 7 with the Masters Finals on September 8.
