National youth remains in the lead after Block 1

27th October, Petaling Jaya: Malaysian National youth, Airel Amri Bin Suhaimi remained in the lead at the end of Block qualifying rounds of the Kuala Lumpur International Bowling Classic 2025 underway at Sunway Megalanes ahead of Ezzat Ezani in second and Symir Abdul Razak third.

Airel Amri, who topped the opening squad with 1457, occupied 7th position in the overall qualifying standings to automatically qualify for Round 3 finals. Ezzat Ezani of Malaysia, who finished second in Squad C, took 8th with 1412 while ex-national bowler and Squad D winner, Symir Abdul Razak is placed 9th with 1409.

Joining the trio for a potential spot in Round 3 were national youth Wan Muhammad Zarif Ikram in 10th with 1408, second perfect gamer and reigning Malaysian Open champion, Ethan Damien Goh of ABAS in 11th with 1385. Making up the top 6 was WP SUKMA KL squad, Muhammad Amin Syimir with 1379.

Seasoned campaigner, Paiman Bin Dali of Syntech, Singapore topped the Men's Senior division with 1297 and wil automatically qualify for Round 3 finals. Romahanum Hj Othman of Malaysia occupied the top Women's Senior position with 1265.

Squad C leader and top Men's Graded qualifier was Muhammad Fazrin of Perak with 1453 while Intan Qistina Tamarang of Malaysia occupied the top Women's Graded qualifier spot with 1396. Squad B leader, Muhammad Zulhazziq B Zulmazlan of WP SUKMA squad took the Youth Boys U18 top qualifying spot with 1427.

His team-mate, Anggun Baiduri Binti Azman occupied the top Youth Girls U18 qualifying spot with 1360. All the six seeded qualifiers of the six different divisions will earn a bye and skip Round 2 finals.

Heading positions 13 to 60 qualifiers was Faiz Rayyan Bin Muhammad Aiman of Kuala Lumpur with 1368 while the cut in 60th position went to Aiden Lim Zen Yao of PTBPP/Penang with 1263. Out of the cut in 61st position by one pin was Amin Zulkarnain Bin Zulkifli of WP SUKMA squad with 1262.

The bowlers will resume with their second block of qualifying over six games tomorrow. Qualifiers positioned 13 to 60 will contest Round 2 finals over six games on October 29. The top 28 finishers will be joined by the 12 seeded qualifiers for Round 3 finals over eight games. The champion will pocket the top prize of RM30,000.
