Special Note:
The ABF Executive Committee in its meeting held in March 16, 2005 have unanimously agreed to amend the rules for the overall champion in the Asian Schools, Asian Youth and Asian Championships as follow:

The overall champion will be awarded to the country with the most number of gold medals. Should there be a tie in the number of gold medals between two countries, the country with more silver medals will be the overall champion. Should there be a further tie in the number of silver medals, the country with the more bronze medal will prevail. And if there are ties in the number of gold, silver and bronze medals, both countries will be declared overall champions.
