He also announced that Ms Vivien Lau, Honorary Life President of Asian Bowling Federation, Mr Maradona Chok, Secretary General of MTBC and Mr Tomokatsu Yamashita, Secretary General of Japan Bowling Congress are the members of the Jury of Appeal.
Dr Santos, after the roll-call, covered all aspects of the championships including general rules and regulations, schedule of events, lane draws of the three events and the official practice procedures.
There are seven classes and two divisions (men and women) - TPB1, TPB2, TPB3, TPB4, TPB8, TPB9 and TPB10. Three events will be contested which comprises of Singles (6 games), Doubles (6 games) and Trios (4 games). All three medals will be awarded to a category if there are three or more athletes.
If there are three or less athletes in a category, only the gold and silver medals will be awarded. Medals will also be awarded for the All Events (16 games total) for all the seven classes. Men and women will be mixed for some events, namely the Doubles and Trios competing for medals. Those not competing for medals will complete their events in the makeup teams.
The official practice, divided into two squads will be held tomorrow, 1st September followed by the opening ceremony which will be held at Sunway Megalanes at 5:30pm local time.
Competition will kick off with the Singles on 2nd and 3rd September. The Doubles will be contested on 3rd and 4th September. The Trios will be staged on the final day of the championships on 5th September. A victory banquet, hosted by MTBC will be held at the Sunway Resorts Hotel at 8:00pm.
