Penang, Sarawak captures Youth Graded Masters titles

19th June, Petaling Jaya: Adib Razali of PTBPP/MMBC and Nur Fathi Fatihah Bte Mohammad Zakry of ABAS/Sarawak captured the MILO Youth Boy's Graded and MILO Youth Girl's Graded Masters titles late Friday evening at Sunway Megalanes.

Muhd Qaish Rayyan of ABAS/Sarawak got off the 8-game block with sizzling 268 to lead Muhammad Akif Darwish of PTBPP/MMBC by 11 pins as Adib Razali and Joel Teoh of Singapore trailed in third and fourth. Despite a 184 in the second game, Muhd Qaish remained in the lead with Adib reducing the gap to 9 pins.

Adib picked up his pace with 238 and 233 in the third and fourth games to take over the running. Muhammad Akif remained in second by four pins. The Penang lad was on a roll, reeling in 221 and 242 in games fifth and sixth to stretch his lead to 29 pins.

Adib ended strongly with 210 and 225 to seal a convincing victory with 1812. Muhammad Hadiff M. Haniff of Melaka, who led after the seventh game, settled for second position with 1791. Muhammad Danish Hakim Bin Fadzilah stormed home to snatch third position with 1757.

Two ABAS/Sarawak youths, Muhd Isyraq Iqbal and Eldred Kho Yek Zhen rounded out the top five with 1737 and 1734 respectively

Meanwhile in the Youth Girl's Graded division, Chloe Ho Rui Zhi of PTBNS/Negeri Sembilan set the early pace with a superb 259 but immediately lost the lead when Ayra Deliza of Sukma/WP took over the running after a superb second game of 244.

Mayra Khayreena of PTBPP/MMBC shot into the lead after the third game with 212, 248 and 205 in her first three games. Chloe Ho bounced back to take up second spot, 31 pins adrift while Nur Fathi Fatihah kept close with the leading duo.

A keen battle for the lead saw Dhia Irdina Zahra of Sukma/WP and Chloe Ho for the next four games with Dhia Irdina Zahra leading Nur Fathi Fatihah in second spot after the seventh game. Nur Fathi Fatihah ended the strongest with 246 to clinch victory with 1698.

Dhia Irdina Zahra settled for second position with 1680, just 18 pins adrift while Nurul Aisyah Binti Salleh snatched third position with 1619. Mayra Khayreena and Chloe Ho completed the top five with 1604 and 1581 respectively.


Top 3 winners of the MILO Youth Girl's Graded Masters finals

The MILO Youth Open Masters finals will be contested tomorrow morning at 10:00am local time. The MILO Youth U-12 will follow in the afternoon. The Men's and Women's Graded Masters finals will be held at 8:00pm. The Mixed Open Masters finals will end the championship when they take to the lanes at 10:00am on June 22.
