29th June, Kuching, Sarawak: Boy's Singles semi-finalists of the 2026 IBF World Youth Bowling Championships were confirmed after Julian Dinham of Australia won Group A Matchplay rounds with Landin Jordan of USA in second while Emil Svensson of Sweden won Group B with Ben Pettit of New Zealand in second.

Dinham won a total of six matches with lines of 236, 243, 268, 234, 225 and 248 except losing the fourth match with 213. The Aussie totaled 29 points and total score of 1677 to top Group A. Jordan won four and lost three matches for a total 12 points and 1596 pinfalls to take up second of Group A.

All other six finalists won a same three matches out of seven for 9 points. Laurynas Narusis of Lithuania, Muhd Danial Abu Samah of Malaysia and David Mojka of Czechia finished third to fifth. Muhd Aiman Syahin Sulaiman of Malaysia, Matys Bibeau of Canada and Kang Dahoon of Korea endedup in sixth to eighth and failed to advance.

In Group B, Emil Svensson of Sweden and Ben Pettit of New Zealand both won five of their seventh matches to tie at 12 points.

Svensson had a higher final game of 214 and 1570 pinfalls to Pettit's 188 and 1542 pinfalls so the Swede topped the group and Pettit occupied second. Jacob Bicksite of USA, Noel Torgersen Haglund of Sweden and Josh Hammons of USA all won four matches for 12 points each and failed to advance. Jan Garbrecht of Germany, Talal Al Amarri of Qatar and Luis Enrique P Echeverria of Mexico won only two matches for six points a piece.

Dinham will face Pettit in the first semi-finals match and Svensson will square off with Jordan in the second semi-finals match over best-of-3 format. The winners will meet in the final match. The losers of the semi-finals will be awarded a bronze medal each.

The Girl's Singles head-to-head Matchplay Round-Robin style matches at 4:30pm local time. The top two from each group with the highest points after the seven matches will advance to the semi-finals.
