25th May, Busan: Korean professional, Park Jinhee snatched pole position in the Women's Division final of the 2018 PBA-WBT Busan Cup International Bowling Tournament ahead of Korean National team member, Jeon Eunhee and advanced to the Stepladder TV final.

KPBA's Choi Youngmi took an early lead with a splendid 247 to lead Jeon Eunhee by 1 pin as top women qualifier, Yun Huiyeo of KPBA and Park Jinhee both rolled 238 and 237 to trail the leading duo.

Choi stumbled to a disasterous 166 to drop out of contention as Jeon seized the opportunity to move into the lead with a superb 248. Ex-international, Kim Hyomi of KPBA added a strong game of 259 to her 233 opening game to move into second, 2 pins adrift while Park and Yun stayed close behind.

Another strong game of 245 from Kim saw the Korean pro taking over the lead at the halfway mark. Jeon slipped to third behind Yun despite adding a decent game of 227. Sung Kyungeun of Daejeon City rolled a superb game of 248 to take up fourth pushing Park into fifth.

Kim and Jeon rolled identical score of 237 in the fourth game making the gap between the two remaining at 16 pins. Yun and Park could only stay close in third and fourth as Sung slipped away on a poor game of 181. The leader held on to the lead despite managing only 188 while Jeon suffered a setback with 136 and dropped down to fourth. Yun moved into second spot with 193 and Park narrowed the gap with a good game of 210 for third.

With 34 pins gap, Kim was expected to be able to end the final at least in the top 2 but she only managed 183. Park seized on the opportunity and fired 243 to end the final in pole position with 1359. Jeon bounced back with 256 to clinch second position with 1350.

Kim missed the top 2 stepladder cut by 14 pins finishing in third with 1345 while Yun and a second Korean National Team member, Baek Seungja rounded out the top 5 with 1340 and 1336 respectively.

Park and Jeon will meet in the Stepladder TV finals tomorrow over one match at the specially constructed pair of lanes at the outdoor Arena @ Metropolitan City complex.

The 44 Open division qualifiers will contest their 6-games finals later today. The top 4 finishers at the end of the finals will proceed to the Stepladder TV finals.

Meanwhile in this morning's General division finals, Jeong Jaehun of Daegu City sealed the Stepladder TV finals topseed with a 6-game total of 1425.

Seo Hyeonjin of Champions Club, Daegu City, took up second with 1382. Kim Doyeon missed the cut by 2 pins to finish third. The two will also meet over one match at the outdoor Arena @ Metropolitan City complex tomorrow.
