29th October, Petaling Jaya: Muhammad Amirul Shah Bin Suhaimi of Malaysia won the Round 2 finals of the Kuala Lumpur International Bowling Classic 2025 ahead of Johnathan Chan of Sunway Megalanes in econd and Phanupong Permpimol of Thailand third.

Permpimol got off to a cracking start rolling 280 in his opening game to lead Johnathan Chan by five pins. Muhammad Amirul shot 268 to take up third spot. Megat Zaqrul Haiqal of Penang and Aiden Lim Zen Yao of PTBPP/Penang occupied fourth and fifth spots with 259 and 257 respectively.

Muhammad Amirul added a superb 246 in his second game to take over the lead as the Thai downed 215 to move into second while Chan slipped down to third.

Permpipol bounced back with 245 in the third game to regain the lead, 22 pins ahead of Muhammad Amirul in second. Chong Jun Foo of Hero Bowling/ABAS shot up to third after posting a stunning 269. Nor Ziedan Asyraf of Selangor reeled in 236, 234 and 236 to take up fourth.

Muhammad Amirul also bounced back with 264 in his fourth game to moved back into the lead. Permpipol settled for second with 214 and Chong remaining in third ahead of Chan in fourth. The Malaysian ended the round with 234 and 211 to win with 1462.

Chan ended strongly with 236 and 253 to finished second, 62 pins adrift. Permpipol settled for third with 1381 while Chong and Muhammad Azizi Naim of Kenari Maluri/XProshop rounded out the top 5 with 1373 and 1357 respectively.

The cut in 28th position making Round 3 finals was Balqis Nurdini Bt Mohd Khairul of WP SUKMA KL squad with 1270. Mohamad Hazim Danish of Motion By Dot, Malaysia missed the cut by six pins in 29th position. The top 28 along with the top 12 seeded qualifiers from Round 1 will contest Round 3 finals over 8 games.

The champion could take home the top prize of RM30,000 with RM15,000 for the first runner-up and RM8,000 for the second runner-up. Up to 60th positions will be awarded cash prizes.
