Selangor, Sarawak bags Youth Open Masters titles

20th June, Petaling Jaya: Nor Ziedan Asyraf of SUKMA Selangor and 2023 Malaysian Open Women's champion, Lavina Kho Jia Jie of ABAS/Sarawak bagged the MILO Youth Boy's Open and MILO Youth Girl's Open Masters titles of the Kuala Lumpur International Open Bowling Championships 2026.

Reyes Lau Hui Qing of Visionary Singapore and Nyak Arif Hakimi of PTBPP/MMBC set a cracking pace in their opening game with 277 to share the early lead. Faris Danial of MSN Johor also got off well with 269 for second and Nor Ziedan Asyraf in third with 258.

Nor Ziedan added a superb 241 in the second game to take over the lead with Farish Danial maintaining second with 216. Reyes Lau and Nyak Arif stumbled with below average games to slip out of the lead. Faris Danish of Sukma Perak rolled 259 after 235 in the first and 239 in the second games to move into the lead.

Farish Danial remained in second with Nyak Arif recovering to take up third. Farish Danish maintain his lead with 253 and 192 in his next two games. Aliff Haiqal B. Sharul of MSN Johor and Nor Ziedan traded second briefly.


Top 3 winners of the MILO Youth Boy's Open Masters finals

Two massive games of 254 and 258 in the sixth and seventh games propelled Nor Ziedan into the lead with Faris Danish and Faris Danial in the hunt. Nor Ziedan ended with 211 to seal victory with 1890. Farish finished second with 1849 ahead of Faris Danish in third with 1805.

In the Youth Girl's Open division, Lavina Kho led from start to finish to bag her third Youth Open title with 1816. The Sarawakian started off with 234, 224, 212 and 245 in the first half and finished off in style with 258, 214, 226 and 203 in the second half.

Nurul Imanina of MSN Johor occupied second spot for the first two games before Melanie Chan of US Dacos Bowling Centre, Hong Kong went second for third and fourth games. But it was Damia Farhanah of Sukma Kedah to trailed Koh from game 5 onwards.

Damia Farhanah settled for second position with 1728, 88 pins away. Nur Aleeya Syakirah of Malaysia Backup squad, stormed home to snatch third position with 1704. Adriana Qistina of Sukma Perak and Melanie Chan counded out the top five with 1679 and 1615 respectively.

The MILO Youth U-12 Masters finals will be held next, commencing at 3:00pm while the Men's and Women's Graded Masters final will be contested at 8:00pm. The Masters finals for the Mixed Open will take place at 10:00am, June 22.
