This year's 28th Thailand International Open Tenpin Bowling Championship will be held at P.S. Bowl in Bangkok from the 7th - 18th May, 2002. The championship is open to Open, Graded (Ladies and Men's), Senior and Youth divisions. The 28th Thailand International Open will also be the qualifying rounds of the 2nd Leg of the CGU Asian Bowling Tour 2002 - the Thailand Leg which will be held on the 18th - 19th May 2002 at P.S. Bowl Bangkapi.

16th May: The CGU Asian Bowling Tour enters its fifth season when Asia's elites gather in P.S. Bowl for the Thailand leg, which is also the 30th leg of the Tour. Top 14 bowlers of the masters finals of the 28th Thailand Open will be eligible to play in the two-day knock-out tournament on May 19-20.
