The task of the European Zone is to further and perpetuate interest in Tenpin bowling. The Zone also has to conduct European Championships every four years and to conduct tournaments as approved by the Conference.

It is an important task of the European Zone to establish rules for the activities in the Zone. The Presidium of the Zone grants approval to international Tenpin bowling tournaments held in this area.

The governors of the European Zone (Presidium members) are elected for a term of four years. They must belong to different member federations. The Presidium consists of 6 persons: The President, the Vice-President and four presidium members. One of the Presidium members fills the position of Secretary General assisted by a Deputy Secretary General.

Three committees assists the Presidium: The Tournament Committee, the Technical Committee and the Education Committee.
