It is with great pleasure that we are extending this official invitation to you and your Federation, Association, Bowling Club, Bowling team(s) to participate in the 30th Boysen-PBC International Bowling Championships, 2001. The tournament will be held at the Green Valley Country Club Bowling Center in Pasig City from June 9 to 23, 2001.

This tournament is sanctioned by the Asian Bowling Federation and will be conducted under WTBA Rules and Regulations. It will also serve as a qualifying round towards the second Leg of the CGU Asian Bowling Tour 2001 which carries a total of USD25,000 in prizes. The Philippine leg will take place on the 24th & 25th of June, 2001. The tournament will also serve as one of the ranking tournaments in Asia towards the World Bowling Masters in February, 2002.

This year, we have modified the classification and format of the Open, in accordance with Asian Bowling Federation rules for CGU-ABT qualifying tournaments. In addition to the Associate (reserved for locals only), Graded, Open and Senior Masters (which is open to bowlers 50 years & above as of June, 2001), we are also bringing back the Youth Masters. Eligibility shall be limited to bowlers 22 years and below as of Jan. 1, 2001 (or those born on Jan. 2, 1978 and after). We have reserved the last four qualifying days of the tournament exclusively for overseas bowlers. However, with the expected large number of participants, we would encourage you to send your reservations early. At the moment, each bowler shall be allowed to book one attempt on the 7:00 pm squad. Additional attempts shall be subject to availability. Local bowlers shall be allowed to play only if there are vacancies.

We have obtained a special room rate at the Manila Galleria Suites of US$60 nett per room per night, Single or Double Occupancy, inclusive of daily buffet breakfast and airport/hotel/airport transfers. The hotel has an excellent location as it adjoins a mall and is within close proximity to the tournament site. It will also be the venue of the victory banquet and awarding ceremonies. Regularly scheduled shuttles between the official hotel and the bowling center shall be provided. As this is a special rate, the room charge shall be paid to the Tournament Secretariat. All other incidentals shall be paid directly to the hotel.
