28th June, Macau: Hong Kong national youths, Jovi Ma Ka Yin and Dylan Lam Nok Him ruled the Youth Open Masters finals of the 2025 Macao-China International Open after finishing first and third with Wu Hong Chin of Chinese Taipei splitting the two.
Lam set a cracking start with a scintillating 256 to lead team-mate, Ma by 42 pins followed by Daryl Sim of Agape Bowling Academy, Singapore in third. Lam managed 199 in his second game but saw his gap reduced to 19 pins after Ma shot a superb 222.
Sim returned a poor 154 in his second game to quickly drop down the field. Both Lam and Ma were unable to string strong games at the halfway mark allowing Wu Hong Chin of Chinese Taipei to move closer to the leading duo. Lam recovered with 223 to remain in the lead.
Wu shot identical 223 to take over second spot, 31 pins adrift while Ma slipped behind the Taiwanese into third. A superb fifth game of 226 from Ma made the 16-year-old Hong Kong youth the lead. Wu continued to trail in second, 16 pins away.
